SUMMARY:

The Harm Reduction Coordinator is responsible for coordination and supervision of activities related to the public health epidemic involving substance use disorder as well as infectious disease and other harms associated with drug use. This position requires collaboration with emergency room providers, peer recovery navigators with opioid recovery community centers, and other community partners to help create a pathway towards treatment for people who inject drugs (PWID).

 

MAIN ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborates with community providers, recovery supports, and services for people who inject drugs (PWID)
  • Coordinates with emergency department providers to conduct follow up with individuals that are injecting drug users
  • Provides resources for medication assisted therapy (MAT), substance abuse, healthcare navigation, NARCAN dispensing, and knowledge of access for harm reduction supplies
  • Coordinates with community partners to ensure that lock box program is running smoothly, and supplies are maintained

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in the prevention and investigation of communicable diseases and substance abuse/mental health services required

 

SHIFT:                          Monday – Friday | 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

DEADLINE:                  Sunday, July 7, 2024, p.m. at 11:59 p.m.
