Mount Vernon High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Social Studies Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and student-centered educational community. Teaching assignments will be based on the selected candidate’s strengths, with a primary focus on World History. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global historical events, cultures, and themes, and be able to foster critical thinking, inquiry, and civic engagement among students.
Responsibilities include developing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to a positive school environment.
Requirements:
- Candidates should demonstrate strong classroom management skills, a commitment to equity and inclusion, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with students.
- A valid teaching license with appropriate Social Studies endorsements is required.
